ALL CAPABILITIES →

One route from first model to finished part. The process is chosen on the part's merits, not on what happens to be sitting in the building.

01

Model

3D scanning and reverse engineering from the part itself, an original drawing, or a sketch. What comes out is a CAD model built to be revised, and drawings a shop can quote from.

02

Prototype

A working part in your hands, so fit and function get proven on the real thing rather than in the model. The geometry is revised before anything commits to a production run.

03

Produce

Printed in the material the duty requires, from ABS-equivalent and polypropylene-like resins to glass-filled rigids, high-temperature grades and nylons. Machining is coordinated where a part genuinely needs it.

What we make

If you can describe the problem, Imperial City Solutions can solve it. Whether it's custom tools, end-use parts or OEM spec replacements, we've got you covered.

01

Custom tools

The grip, adapter or driver that turns an awkward job into a straightforward one, and that no hardware store stocks. Something that reaches a recessed fastener. Something that holds the part still while you work on it.

02

End-use parts

Finished components that go into service, not just prototypes. Plastic fasteners, bushings, clips and housings that the manufacturer never sold separately, or stopped supplying years ago.

03

Replacement parts

A component that is no longer manufactured, scanned and rebuilt from the original. Where the original had a weak point, it gets designed out rather than faithfully copied.

Print on demand

Send a file, get the part

Send us a model and we will produce it in a material and finish suited to the job, with no tooling to pay for and no minimum run.

Files can be kept on record, so a repeat order is a message rather than a fresh quote. That makes it a practical alternative to holding slow-moving spares on a shelf, and it covers the awkward case of needing two parts now and twenty later.

HOW IT WORKS →

WHAT WE NEED

  • A 3D model, or a drawing we can model from
  • The quantity you want, down to one
  • What the part is used for, so we can match a material and appropriate method of manufacturing
  • Your timeline

How a project runs

Three steps from enquiry to part

1

Send what you have

A 3D model, a drawing, or the part itself. If all you have is a photo and one known dimension, that is enough to begin.

2

We confirm the route

You get the process the part should be made by, the material, the cost and the lead time. If a different approach would serve you better, we will say so.

3

Prototype, then production

A test part first where it matters, so you can prove the fit yourself. Then the run, in the quantity you need rather than a minimum order.

Who you're working with

Designed from the technician's side

We design from a technician's point of view rather than the original engineer's. Whoever has to service a thing usually works out a quicker or simpler way of doing it than the engineer who drew it considered, and that insight normally dies as a workaround nobody wrote down.

Turning those ideas into real parts is the whole business.

With the team at Imperial City Solutions the people who model a part are the people who manufacture it, so there is no gap for the detail to fall through, and no job gets turned away for being small.
